The 3 Most Popular Diet and Fat Loss Programs

A superior diet plan since 2003

Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle has been around since 2003. It is a very popular and reliable diet program and has many satisfied clients. It primarily contains detailed information on the nutritional and exercise aspect for losing fat and being healthy. It also teaches you the power of goal setting and the use of visualization to keep you inspired and motivated to lose weight.

The system consists of a 340 page extensive e-book that relies heavily on education. The premise is – the better you understand how your body views food and the storage of food the easier it will be for you to incorporate these changes into your daily diet.

The program comes with several bonuses as well as lifetime updates, a newsletter, and a weekly weight loss tips e-zine. From the bonsues you will learn which foods burn fat, which foods turn into fat, how to make the right food choices and the correct substitutes. You will also learn how to create a personalized diet plan by identifying your body type, learning how much to eat and calculating the exact ratios of nutrients you require.

Yes, there is a lot of information to be learned here. If you are committed to making lifestyle and long term changes then this is for you. This program will work for anyone as long as you stay motivated to change. There is no doubt about the credentials for Tom Venuto. The is a very successful program that has been around for a long time and has a 60-day full money back guarantee.

Strip That Fat has been on the market roughly about two years and has quickly gained a large loyal following. Strip That Fat is primarily a dieting system that does not have a large focus on exercising. However, if you do incorporate even a walking plan you will lose fat and weight much faster than if you don’t.

Once again this product also focuses on nutritional education and the body’s fat storage and the function of metabolism. You will learn here too that the main factor that must be changed for every dieter is the kinds of foods that you eat and not necessarily the amounts.

The primary ease of this program is the diet generator software that is included in the package. It creates menus and shopping lists for you which helps tremendously for busy people and especially if you must make separate meals for other family members. Over 40,000 meal combinations can be made from the diet generator so you can easily create your own personalized diet plan to improve your body shape.

The Strip That Fat basic (Gold) package comes with the downloadable Fat Secret Dieting Guide e-book, the fabulous diet generator and free lifetime updates. This is a no risk offer as it comes with a 60-day full money back guarantee.

Click Here For More Info

Cheat Your Way Thin is the new kid on the block. Developed by Joel Marion, a nationally published author and fitness personaly. Joel has been touting his Cheat Your Way Thin on such television networks as ABC, NBC, and CBS, SIRIUS satellite radio, and on the pages of more than 20 popular magazines such as Woman’s Day, Muscle & Fitness, and many more.

The premise behind this fat loss program is to trick the body’s starvation protection mechanism and speed up the metabolism. This is based on Marion’s 73 months of research and several hundred medical research studies.

To cheat with your favorite foods while trying to lose weight can be done, says Joel, but it must be done systematically and at a calculated time frame to completely trick your body that you are not dieting at all. It’s the main ingredient of his system and must be followed correctly for maximum results.

This system is new, but everyone seems to be talking about it. There are 7 different components and bonuses included in the basic package – the main program e-book, audios, videios, quick reference cards, workbook and journal, and checklists. It comes with a no risk 60-day full money back guarantee.

“How could you eat that junk? It’s so bad for you!” (nag, nag). “Don’t you know those fries will give you a heart attack?” (nag, nag). “You have to stop eating all that fast food, it’s going to make you fat!” (nag nag). “You have to eat more healthy food like fruits and vegetables – they’re good for you!” (nag, nag). Your friends nag you, your family nags you, your doctor nags you, the health newsletters, websites and magazines – they all nag you, and of course, your personal trainer nags the heck out of you, to stop eating all those BAD FAST FOODS. But does all that nagging you and bad-mouthing the fast food industry really help anyone stop?

It doesn’t look that way. The fast food industry is thriving, even in the bad economy. The Chicago Tribune recently said that McDonalds is “recession proof.”

As one of only two companies to turn a major profit over the last year (the other being Wal Mart), McDonald’s is laughing its way to the bank. In fact, McDonalds plans to open 1,000 new stores this year.

I was driving down Route 95 a few weeks ago and pulled over to use the rest room at Mcdonalds on a Saturday morning (there’s a McDonalds conveniently located immediately off almost every exit up and down the full length of Interstate 95).

The parking lot was full, it was standing-room only inside and the lines snaked around into the seating area! You’d think Brad and Angelina were there signing autographs or something. Nope. Just a regular weekend at breakfast-time.

I was shopping in Wal Mart the same week and I almost passed out when I saw (smelled, actually) a McDonalds… INSIDE THE WAL- MART! Also, with lines.

Yep. It looks like your friends and family’s nagging you to stop eating fast food, and all the messages of the health and fitness industry to get people eating more “health food” are not working!

So                what does work?

The results of a new survey from the behavior and psychology section of the journal, OBESITY (Feb 2009) provide some answers:

Researchers at the University of Minnesota School of Public health surveyed 530 adults about their attitudes towards fast foods.

They found that people already know fast food is unhealthy. (like, no kidding!)

The primary reasons they eat it anyway are because of the perceived convenience and a dislike for cooking! (I’d add another: they think fast food is always cheaper than healthy food). So, said the authors of this research paper, nagging people to eat more healthy food and warning them that “fast food is going to make us fat and kill us” is not the best approach.

What’s                the right approach?

Focus on teaching people how to make healthy eating fast, convenient and easy, because those are the reasons people are choosing fast food in the first place.

So what’s holding us back from implementing or taking this advice? Well, I think that most people can’t get over the ideas that they “just cant cook” or that cooking is “too time consuming” or that healthy food “tastes like dirt” (as if McDonalds is gourmet food!)

That said, I’m not going to nag you, scold you or try to scare you out of eating fast food. I’m not going to lecture you about health food (not today, anyway). Nor am I going to bad-mouth the fast food restaurants. I’m going to lead the new charge by showing you just how easy and convenient it is to eat healthy and nutritious food and make it delicious.

Here’s a few meal ideas (for starters) to prove my point.

3-MINUTE                APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL
* natural oatmeal (like Quaker old fashioned rolled oats)
* natural (unsweetened) applesauce
* cinnamon
* for protein, serve with scrambled eggs or egg whites on side or stir 1-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder into the oats

I eat this almost every morning. It’s faster, easier and cheaper than going to the donut place or getting sausage, cheese, bacon breakfast muffins at the fast food joint! (you don’t have to wait in line, either!)

10-MINUTE LAZY PERSON’S CHINESE STIR FRY
* Brown rice (I like basmati)
* frozen oriental vegetables
* chicken breast, grilled (try foreman grill)
* bragg’s “liquid aminos” (or light/lo-sodium soy sauce) [Ed. note: we recommend Celtic sea salt over liquid aminos, which is processed soy w/ MSG]

This takes 30 minutes, however, if you get a rice cooker and make a giant batch, you can have your rice on standby for instant eats and this will take less than 10 minutes.

It doesn’t get much easier than that. (I like those Chinese veggies that come with the little mini-corn-on-the-cobs… reminds me of that Tom Hanks Movie, BIG)

2-MINUTE BLACK BEANS AND SPICY SALSA
* black beans (15 oz can)
* Medium or hot salsa
* 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
* 2 cloves garlic or chopped garlic to taste
* salt and pepper to taste

This one takes you all of 2 minutes to make. No cooking required! And it’s good! It’s vegetarian as listed above, but if you’re a high-protein muscle-head like me, just add chicken breast or lean ground turkey.

Best part: this is all inexpensive food! Oats, rice, beans… doesn’t get much cheaper than that – buy your healthy staples in bulk and the cost per serving is probably less than mickey D’s!
Are you wanting to lose weight quickly? If you are, a low calorie fad diet may be a very tempting option. Low calorie diets are common and popular, but also the main reason so many people gain back the weight they lost plus a few more pounds prior to starting the diet. Find out why and how you can avoid that yo-yo dieting trap.

Are you wanting to lose weight very quickly? If you are, the starvation calorie diet may be just what you’re looking for. These types of diets are considered an extreme form of dieting and they are highly popular. That still doesn’t mean they are the right diet for you.

A diet is considered low calorie if it involves taking in less than 1200 calories per day. The idea of a low calorie diet is to lose weight quickly. If not utilized correctly they can be dangerous and as such it is important to plan your low calorie diet with a professional dietician or nutritionist before starting.

The best form of dieting is to burn more calories than you take in. However a very low calorie diet can actually do more harm than good. When your body is craving more calories (energy) it can affect your metabolic rate. This means your body actually starts to eat away at your muscle mass instead of burning your current fat reserves.

It is doing this for the purpose of converting the muscle mass to energy, because starvation mode to your body means holding on to the fat reserves it has since it doesn’t know when it will get more fat.

Consuming only a very limited amount of calories per day is almost like starving yourself. Your body is more than likely used to taking in over 2000 calories per day and up to 5000 or more. If you all of a sudden drop to say 600 calories or less your body moves into starvation mode. Your metabolism then slows down to conserve energy.

While you are on a starvation diet your body will learn to live with fewer calories. That means if you go back to your old high calorie habits (as all too many people do) you will have a sudden gain in weight. Think Oprah.

The only real way to determine your ideal daily calorie intake is by using a basal metabolic rate calculator. You will then know how many calories you need to be healthy and to support your lifestyle. As men and women are obviously different their ideal calorie intake is also different.

In essence a super low calorie diet can be dangerous. What you really want is a diet that, while lowering your calorie intake, can trick your body into using up those fat reserves for fuel burning instead of using your muscle mass.

Well, it’s that time again. Time to start thinking about going on a diet. You do this all the time, in fact it seems like you are always on a diet, but never see any lasting results. You know you should lose the extra weight for many reasons: your health, your children, you’d look and feel better, your clothes would fit better…. but it still does not come off.

Most people always blame a dieter’s problem as lack of motivation or they just can’t stop eating so much. Those really aren’t the common reasons for diet failure. Sometimes along the way in our life journey we lose sight of who we really are. Did you? The real you is deep down inside of you.

I knew a very attractive teen aged girl once who always got a lot of attention from boys. She really did not like the attention, but she never told anyone and did not know what to do. So, to stop the attention she gained weight. A lot of weight. And the attention stopped. But also the lovely life that she was meant to have.

That story was to illustrate that sometimes weight gain can be a comfortable wall for us – a comfort zone where we can retreat and hide from the world. When my daughter was little and she would see an overweight person, she would say that they were eating their feelings. I don’t know how she knew that, but sometimes it’s so true.

When we are born we come into this life with two choices – the life we were meant to have by our creator and the life we choose by default. If you are not living the life you were meant to have I would like to encourage you to begin the search for your true self.

True change must come from the inside first – from your heart and then your mind. Find a support group that can help you move beyond the limited space you now occupy. Begin to see yourself as a thinner person. Don’t let anything discourage or dissuade you from your goal. Believe in yourself and begin to act like a thinner person even before you have achieved your weight goal. Find some affirmations that you can embed in your subconscious mind and don’t stop for a minute until you have reached your goal. A wonderful book I can recommend is the Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn It is 4 books in one and is filled with life changing affirmations to keep you going strong.

There’s an image that comes to mind whenever someone mentions the word diet and that’s hunger. They don’t have to be synonymous any more. There are a lot of new diet programs out there that follow new guidelines for losing weight. They make it so easy to lose real weight and fat that you are almost guaranteed that you will keep it off for good.

But if you haven’t tried one yet and you are still trying to lose weight on your own, here are some tips to curb your hunger pangs and keep you on track.

1. Eat smaller healthier meals more often than the regular three meals a day. If you do this your body never has time to get weak and shaky and need to have something, anything in your stomach right away. Six or seven small meals are much better than 3 large ones.

2. If you find that even before your smaller meals you need something to curb the hunger, try a healthy fat and protein appetizer like a handful of almonds. The raw or roasted ones with sea salt are the best.

3. Always drink a large glass of lemon water (use fresh lemons, please!) sweetened with stevia before each meal. It will help you feel fuller faster and it will also help your body digest food. Lemon water, although is acidic outside the body, once it enters your body it becomes alkaline. It is very important to keep your body’s ph in balance and even lean more towards the alkaline side. It is a known fact that cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment.

4. Protein and fiber will help curb the appetite. For a small meal or snack you can eat sliced apples dipped in organic peanut butter, or celery dipped in peanut butter, or cubed low fat cheese with apples or grapes. The peanut butter and cheese have the protein and the fruits and celery have fiber. You could substitute low fat cottage cheese or try low fat yogurt with a spoon of wheat germ too.

5. Sometimes you really need some carbs if you will be doing a lot of activity. Try a bowl of brown rice with a small pat of real butter (yes, real butter) and some natural sea salt. My daughter (she is 15 now) likes to have a bowl of brown rice with a little butter, slice of low fat cheese and an egg on top for her breakfast. You will be full for hours with a breakfast like this.

6. Breakfast really is important, so try to always have a high protein and fiber breakfast like oatmeal. Buy the kind that takes 5 minutes to cook. The instant kind is too processed and has too many preservatives. Try it with some frozen berries that you add in the last minute or two of cooking. Use a little real butter and top it off with rice milk. If you have been trying to drink soy, but don’t really like the heavy taste – try rice milk. It tastes very similar to cow’s milk.

7. Last but not least may be my favorite of all and that is hot flavored tea. My cabinet is full of every flavor from blueberry to strawberry and even chocolate tea. I always sweeten my tea with a spoon of raw honey (try Whole Foods) and top it off with Land O Lakes Fat Free Half and Half. Something about a nice cup of hot tea helps curb your appetite. You can sweeten with raw sugar or stevia if you like, but another benefit of honey is that after a while you won’t be bothered by pollen season.

I hope you will be able to use some of these tips in your own weight loss plan. If you have been looking for a new diet to help you lose fat please check out the link below.

Losing weight doesn’t mean you have to be starving all the time. You really can lose weight the correct way by adjusting your metabolism and giving your body the healthy foods it needs without being hungry.
